“Imagine losing your sense of touch.
Now imagine getting it back.”
After advancing to the finals and presenting our vision, we were honored to be recognized among the top startups.
This achievement reflects both the innovation behind Tengable and the importance of restoring the sense of touch to those who need it most.
“Imagine losing your sense of touch.

After advancing to the finals and presenting our vision, we were honored to be recognized among the top startups.

Last week, as part of ARC Innovation at Sheba, we joined the ARC annual conference, which brought together healthcare leaders, companies and partners to exchange insights, build relationships and explore collaboration. We were also honored to be hosted at the Canadian Ambassador’s residence for a reception with the healthcare delegation, engaging with hospitals and innovation leaders from across Canada. These engagements translate introductions into concrete next steps - accelerating our path toward restoring the sense of touch for those who have lost it.

Our co-founder, Dr. Amir Arami, is currently on a Sheba Medical Center delegation accompanied by surgeons, a rehabilitation physician, an occupational therapist, and an administrative nurse. The team studies best-practice multidisciplinary models for post-amputation care - at ARMS Clinic (Red Bank, NJ). Insights from surgeons, rehab, OT, prosthetics, and care coordination will help us integrate touch restoration across the full patient pathway.
One of the biggest milestones in our journey at Tengable has been teaming up with CorTec.

In the world of healthcare and innovation, stories of success are often written by those who dared to dream differently. The journey of TENGable’s founders, Prof. Ben Maoz and Dr. Amir Arami, is not just a story of scienific…
Today, Tengable, a revolutionary bio-convergence medical device company, and CorTec GmbH,
a leading medical device manufacturer of implantable electrodes, components and active implantable technology, announced their strategic partnership.
Combining cutting-edge neurological implants with a decade of medical device expertise, the partnership aims to restore sensation to patients worldwide.
Tengable is a bio-convergence medical device company developing miniaturized implants to restore sensation.
Tengable’s devices harness kinetic energy from the body’s natural movements to generate an electrical charge, eliminating the need for an external power source.
CorTec is a leading developer and manufacturer of active implantable technologies.
CorTec offers high-quality neurotechnology to industry and clinics for the development of novel therapies and medical devices.
Based in Freiburg, Germany,
Cortec Neuro partners with innovative startups and large medical device companies to bring novel neurotech products to market.
Tengable is developing a new class of sensation restoration devices that are fully implantable, do not require an external power source, and harvest kinetic energy from the body’s natural movements to generate an electrical charge.
The company’s technology, based on Tribo Electric Nano Generation, can potentially restore sensation for various conditions where people experience loss of sensation, including peripheral trauma, diabetic neuropathy, mastectomy, and more.
This collaboration will integrate CorTec’s extensive experience in medical device interfaces with Tengable’s pioneering neuro-technology, offering new hope to patients who have lost tactile feedback due to injury, surgery, or neurological conditions.
Tengable’s implant technology, which directly interfaces with the nervous system, has already garnered significant attention for its potential to revolutionize sensory restoration.
By mimicking natural nerve signals, the implant allows patients to regain the ability to feel, a critical component in performing everyday tasks and improving quality of life.

The start-up TENGABLE is developing a revolutionary, implantable system that uses triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) to make touch perceptible again without any external power source. In an exclusive interview, CEO Shai Feinsod talks about the vision behind TENGABLE, the revolutionary technology and the collaboration with CorTec.
